I share this information freely, in the hopes that our community can avoid damage to our computers, and our trucks. So I've dedicated two days to sifting through as many sites and installers as I could find, and reading about different versions. We spent a lot of money on our trucks, and it would be absolutely horrifying if a bad piece of software were able to damage them. So we're presented one 'simple' alternative: downloading questionable versions online. Not everyone has $1545 to spend for occasional personal vehicle maintenance (or even $65 for a two-day software license). Let me start by saying: the safest way to use Techstream is to receive it directly from Toyota, through the TIS program.
